We’re Growing Again: Thermotane Welcomes Matchett & Son LP GAS to the Family!

We’re excited to share some big news with you: Thermotane Propane has officially acquired Matchett & Son LP GAS, a respected propane provider based in Interlachen, Florida.

This privately arranged, owner-to-owner deal brings Matchett’s great team and customers into the Thermotane family, helping us expand our reach across Gainesville, Ocala, and St. Augustine. With this acquisition, we now operate three locations, with more on the way.

This is only our second acquisition in 77 years, and it fits perfectly into our long-term growth plan. When we set out on our “Five Locations in Five Years” journey in 2023, we were determined to grow without losing the personal touch that makes us different. With a fourth location already in the permitting phase, and a fifth in the works, we’re ahead of schedule—and more energized than ever.

For existing Matchett customers, the experience won’t change, just more support, broader service options, and the same small-town care. The Thermotane way is all about keeping things simple, transparent, and customer-first.
